Mr. Rui Ming is one of Miami’s leading professional Chinese calligraphers. He owns his own company in Beijing, China that teaches calligraphy to schools and businesses. Mr. Ming is a Chinese calligraphy tutor representing The Confucius Institute at Miami Dade College. He demonstrated the art of Chinese Calligraphy at a large scale, to traditional Chinese music.

This demonstration of a cultures historic art form is representative of the all that embodies our own domestic design principals such as line, line quality, balance, contrast, rhythm & symbolism.

With that in mind, the birth of a partnership between MDC's School of Entertainment & Design Technology's Graphic Design Department and the Confucius Institute began to offer a
summer term, study abroad cultural immersion program in China.
